Although its name and structure changed, the rural ambulance service merged with the town fire department’s paramedic-level EMS providers approximately ten years ago. Before that the ambulance service was using AEMTs back when they were referred to as EMT-Intermediates and continues to do so now that they are called advanced EMTs.
