Rice (TX) Volunteer Fire Department purchased new gear with their 2024 Nutella Stacks for Giving Back grant. Nutella has teamed up with the NVFC to provide $25,000 to volunteer fire departments in 2025. Eligible departments can apply for the chance to receive a $5,000 grant to help fund equipment, gear, training, or other department necessities. But hurry the deadline to apply is April 30.

These departments are staffed by over 680,000 volunteer and paid-on-call first responders. The U.S. Department of Transportation has released the FY25 Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grants.
