Much has been written on how to attract and keep fire service volunteers. One area that should be getting more attention is leadership. The National Volunteer Fire Council’s (NVFC) 2025 Training Summit took place on June 20-21 in Salt Lake City, UT. Since 2014, this signature fire and emergency services conference annually brings together volunteer responders and leaders from across the country to learn and exchange ideas. Over 175 attendees from 44 states participated in classroom sessions, keynote presentations, and networking events.

DripDrop Hydration, PBC, is teaming up with the NVFC for the sixth year to help provide critical hydration to volunteer firefighters. This year, a total of 1,000 volunteer fire departments that have an NVFC member will receive two cases (200 sticks) each of DripDrop electrolyte drink mix.
